I'm so excited that you are interested in choosing me to document your family! I believe in real moments and chasing sunsets. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together. I believe in images that are itching to be printed, placed in beautiful frames and hung on walls for years to come.
I discovered film during my early start in photography and immediately felt in love with it. The limited amount of images on a roll of film forced me to put my camera phone down and really observe the beauty in the world, and the people around me. Whenever I pick up my camera, I strive to create beautiful and emotional images that tell a story and showcase the beauty of both the people in the images and the world around them.

After your initial inquiry, I will send you a link for the schedule and you can schedule your portrait session base of my availability and when it works best for your family. My dates are limited since I save my weekend for wedding so the sooner you get in my schedule the better!
There is also a link at the end of this guide for your to schedule your session or you can e-mail with any questions you may have.
LET's CONNECT
Once your date is reserved, we'll connect to start chatting about possible locations for your session. I generally recommend choosing one location and if it's a place you haven't been before, it might be helpful to visit during different a time our session will take place. That way you have an idea of the light, crowds, closing time, etc! If you're not sure about where you would like to take your photos but you have a general idea of the look you would like, just let me know because I would be happy to recommend a few locations based on your aesthetic!
LOCATION
If picking out outfits for photos takes you back to your high school days when you literally tried on everything in your closet and piled it on your bed but still felt like you had nothing to wear, you're in luck.
I put together an extensive outfit suggestion guide with tips for every member of the family (even Fido!)
waRDROBE STYLING
On the day of your session, we'll connect to make sure the weather still looks like it's going to corporate. We'll exchange numbers and finalize our meeting location. Please plan for your session to take about 90 minutes from start to finish.
The SEssion
All images from our sessions are typically delivered within about two-four weeks of the shoot date via an online gallery. This gallery will allow you to share your favorites with family, order prints and even download images to share on social media.
Your gallery will remain active for One Year.

Here are some location inspirations that you may choose for your portrait session but keep in mind that location should also be picked with the theme that you are looking for and also with what you are planning over all look of your portraits should look like!

There are some many locations and looks within this one spot that its hard not to add it because its one of my favorites spots to shoot at! It has beautiful building that look exactly like you are in Europe, there are tones of greenery if you want more of a natural feel, there is also a beautiful garden if thats what you are going for and want a pop of flowers on your photos.

This beautiful location is in Mid-Jersey! Its known for its Rose Garden and beautiful roses all around the garden! Its also requires a permit in order to shoot there but the pictures speak for themself and its all worth it!!! There is no wrong location at this garden!

With the growth of online shops, shopping for your littles is more fun than ever! We recommend choosing color families (neutrals, blues, etc) over perfectly matching outfits. If you're looking for some inspiration or some of our favorite shops for kids, check out the link to our Pinterest boards below!
For the Littles
When picking outfits we recommend keeping in mind the word “complement” rather than “match.” For example, if Dad is wearing a blue and pink pastel plaid shirt, Mom may want to choose a long, soft blue dress. It can also be a great idea to choose “color-families,” such as pastels or jewel tones.

The sooner the better! Our weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out to me, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, I'll need a contract as well as a retainer. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let me know!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Heck, I take photos for a living and I even feel like a deer in the headlights when I in front of the camera or when I'm having my own family photos taken.
You're going to feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and I coach you through images, I think you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. I'm well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.
We're Awkward and my kids don't sit still.
No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos so if it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, I'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule.
Often, when I'm scheduling our initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, I'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Within a few weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.
